OSU Energy Resources Research
Laboratory
Kennewick, WA
The Kennewick site is
located in southern Washington near the town
of Kennewick
at an elevation of 2200 feet. The site was originally instrumented in 1976 with
a single anemometer at 105 feet. In September 1987 a new tower was installed
and the sensor was lowered to 86 feet. The time series of monthly means for
the entire period of record at Kennewick
are presented in the figure below. The dotted portion of this time series
represents the data from the sensor after it was lowered from 105 feet to 86
feet.
